About Gregory Zakas, DO
Dr. Zakas was born and raised in suburban Boston, Massachusetts. He went to medical school at A.T. Still University, his first two years in Kirksville, Missouri and his second two years in the Phoenix valley. Within days of living in Phoenix, he fell in love with the area, and knew he wanted to return after completing his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2013, he moved back to Phoenix and completed his fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine in 2014.
Dr. Zakas now specializes in treating spine pain, sports-related injuries, and injuries caused by motor vehicle collisions. He is adept at both fluoroscopically-guided procedures as well as ultrasound-guided procedures and has significant sub-specialty training in orthobiologic treatments.
In his spare time, Dr. Zakas enjoys traveling, hiking, and writing, as well as spending time with his wife and two dogs.
Dr. Zakas is currently seeing patients at our Gilbert location.
