David Tom, MD, is a triple ACGME board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine, pain medicine, and anesthesiology at NovaSpine Pain Institute in Gilbert, Arizona. He is known for his compassionate approach to care and is an expert in diagnosing and treating chronic pain conditions of the joints, neck, back, and nerves. Dr. Tom uses multidisciplinary strategies to relieve pain and suffering and offers a variety of treatment services, including minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Tom earned his medical degree from the University of California Los Angeles School of Medicine. He continued his residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and stayed there to finish his fellowship training in interventional pain medicine. Initially, Dr. Tom went on to practice as an internal medicine physician and hospitalist in California before focusing on interventional pain management.
Dr. Tom completed a fellowship in interventional pain management and remains an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
