NovaSpine Pain Institute is proud to introduce Dr. John Paul Malayil, MD who is joining our team this summer.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Malayil was awarded a Board of Governor’s Scholarship and was accepted into an accelerated combined Bachelor’s of Science and Medical School program straight out of high school. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in nearby Indiana, PA. During his undergraduate studies, he was fortunate to study abroad in Cuernavaca, Morelos in Mexico, and become proficient in conversational Spanish.

Dr. Malayil brings with him to NovaSpine Pain Institute years of experience and a patient-centered approach to utilize the most up-to-date techniques and therapies to treat his patient’s pain. He is well versed in the latest technological treatment options and believes every patient is an individual and each treatment plan is tailored to suit that patient’s specific needs.

Dr. Malayil is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the North American Neuromodulation Society. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing golf, and watching his beloved Pittsburgh sports teams beat most other teams.

Dr. Malayil will be seeing patients at our Glendale and Sun City West locations.
